I definitely wanted Kebechet to play up the sweeter angle for the whole good cop / bad cop thing, comfort him more and say he can be a worthy king soon (if asked directly, be ambiguous about Noctis' worth, 'well isn't that up to you?'), and generally be conniving. In the end, though, Kebechet isn't trained in diplomacy and lets his biases show; they definitely have a preference for royalty and the idea that someone is inherently suited biologically for 'roles'.
